WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

In the early days of marketing be it online or offline, most businesses focus on one specific product for customers. Once they made money, they will simply concentrate on providing customer service and giving customers another product. Although those methods are still employed now, it will be a matter of time before they become obsolete, especially if you are running an online businesses.

If you have been to any seminars or watch online offers by gurus, you will notice the same trend among them.

They offer free gifts first. Then they offer the actual product with additional bonuses. After people purchased, they will upsell them with more products by directing them to one time offers online while at the same time, emailing them with the link to download what they just bought.

But even so, their relationship with customers does not end there. They will give them even more gifts and offers so long their customers remain their customers and on their emailing list.

In this article, I will be explaining more about these and why they are so crucial to your online businesses.

Let us start off with free gifts. They are usually presented in landing or squeeze pages. In case you do not know what a landing or squeeze page is, it is a single web page with one or two gifts. It does not have any menu navigation bars but comes with an optin box whereby people need to submit their names and emails to get those gifts. From the marketer's standpoint of view, giving them is a great way of generating email leads in return.

Bonuses are different from those. They are offered usually together with the main product. Though they are also audio, ebooks, software and tutorial videos like free gifts, they are a complete set and with higher quality to complement the main product in terms of benefits relevance. They can also be higher end products of other gurus whom the product owner has joint ventured with. Coaching programs are one great examples. By offering such bonuses, you are adding more value to your main product.

One time offers are offers made to customers immediately after they purchased the main product. The web page is what the product owner will direct them to immediately rather than the actual download page.

All these are crucial components of earning more money online.

I give first for them to see the value of what I offer and can offer in my actual product. This is usually in the form of an ebook or video preview showcasing the first three chapters or videos. If they like what they see and finds them helpful, they will most likely buy my actual product. One good example is Mike Fulsaime and Chris Farrell in their 4 prelaunch videos through a blog. When their AffiliateDotCom product is finally launched, it gets sold out in a matter of days.

Then I offer bonuses which I analysed and selected carefully through PLR or Private Label Rights in addition to my main product.

Finally I give them One Time Offers twice. First time by offering them the actual price and second time by downselling via giving them a special customer discount.

Most gurus are going to the extent of overdelivering by offering monthly forum memberships and weekly webinars to their customers. I have not done this yet but may consider doing so once I am familiar as to how to do them properly.

Article text

There are affiliate programs for years, and in the early days, only a few people dominated the art of affiliate marketing even earn huge monthly Paycheques. Yes! I said, 'mastered the art of affiliate marketing' because once you have your strategy designed and fine tuned your marketing technique, it is an art. Let me explain....

Planning.

First of all, you have a product and decide how to promote it, for example, you can only promote, with the unique partner ID (waves), or you can look professional and use a relative domain name (semi-permanent). Depending on how you choose your product to promote is entirely up to you, but you must check with pen and paper and consider the best way to promote, such as e-Mail marketing, article marketing, viral marketing and if you have spare change, you can Google AdWords.

Please do not think that 'If you it, they will come!', because believe me, they are not! Think of the Internet as a huge market place - what is it - and your product is a small market stall. Is anyone see or hear you? No! Until you tell people, you aren't here and opened. I am sure you have to market and sell similar items many people (stalls) see and (cries) in the competition to win customers. The same applies to the Internet, there many (Web pages) sell similar items and compete (marketing) for customers.

Technology.

Marketing is a technique that you learn. Everyone has another way to market their products, and each has found a technique that suits them and they have mastered it. There are many ways your product market / advertise and there are a lot of how to eBooks and programs are, and are as good as anyone else, but only for just what you will. For example:

E-Mail marketing... is good way to get your product advertise / market, but you have your own list of customers and subscribers. Take lot of time and planning their own list and pay for an autoresponder service can be expensive. Under no circumstances, you need to buy lists. No! Never! They are not working, they can be expensive, and they are more likely, ready, for spamming. The list must be located on your own efforts.

Article marketing... is your product to market is another good way. There is more than enough articles were as out there, which will show your articles free of charge. There are a lot of private label rights (PLR) articles on the Internet, but these are owned by millions and have all edited was, losing until they can no longer be edited for unique content. Your article must clearly be and your own.

Viral marketing... is a great concept that is as "Word Of Mouth". There are different ways to do viral marketing, such as books, videos, social sites are just a few names. You work in a similar way, where is a product, a person who tell a different spoken (or an eBook, a video-link, etc.), who will say another and so on and so on to create a domino effect.

Paid advertising... (AdWords) and offline can be online in two ways - be (brochures, newspapers, magazines, etc.). It is very affective, but if you do not properly carried out, can be very expensive. Using AdWords on Google, Yahoo, etc click you place an ad using keywords relative to your product and website, where you each time if someone only numbers on your ad. This is known as pay per click (PPC)

I hope I've provided Commission BluePrint you with some basic information for the first steps to make money online or your affiliate. This is really an experience, but at least you can get it from the comfort of your own home! A lot of people have options to generate online income, which a few years ago didn't exist. This market is open to all and sundry. Take it step by step, not first in the head jump and learn, learn, learn! Is Commission blueprint as your partner.

The following interview with Shawn Collins, a prominent expert in the

affiliate marketing field, should prove instructive to the reader. Shawn

has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the field and now runs his own affiliate

program management and consulting firm. As this interview is inherently

limited in scope, one is encouraged to read more about Shawn's experiences

in the field and the advice he dispenses through his books, conferences,

blog, articles, reports, and weekly radio show. The reader can also meet

Shawn at the Affiliate Summit, a "can't miss" conference for those

interested in excelling in the competitive world of affiliate marketing.

Q. Shawn, how would you describe your initial experiences with affiliate

marketing?

A. It was back in 1997. I had a dial-up account on AOL, a 14.4 modem and

a desire to make more money. At the time, I didn't know a thing about

creating websites, marketing, etc. But I went through a tutorial at AOL on

writing HTML and picked up the basics. Then, I created a hideous, single

page site about New York City and put up some Amazon links. I never earned

a cent on that site.

Q. What growing pains did you endure at first? What were the biggest

obstacles and challenges from that period of time?

A. Back then, there was a monopoly on registering domains, and it cost

$35 a year. At the time, that was a bit prohibitive for me (I didn't

realize what a good investment a short name would be). That was a trend -

an unwillingness to invest in my affiliate efforts. I was going the free

route with tools, hosting, etc. That definitely delayed my progress.

Q. What was your first "Ah-ha" moment? How did you incorporate the

lesson learned into your affiliate marketing business?

A. The first time I got my reporting via email from Amazon with

information on commission earned. Back then, there was no option to login

to an interface - just a periodic email with affiliate stats. When I

realized it was real that I could earn money this way, I was excited and

motivated. This persuaded me that I was wasting my time working in

magazine publishing - it was time for me to get into a line of work that

was stimulating and rewarding.

With my limited affiliate marketing experience, I managed to get a job

with a start-up in 1997 called Medsite.com, and I bluffed my way into

running the affiliate program there. I've enjoyed my work ever since.

Q. Without mentioning names, have you joined affiliate programs that did

not keep their promises and/or provide appropriate compensation? What

measures did you take when confronted with this situation and what advice

can you give others to avoid this circumstance?

A. Lots of affiliate programs lie in their recruiting efforts - they

talk about how easy it is to earn commission from them. That's simply not

true - it's not easy. I just don't pay attention to most recruiting

efforts from affiliate programs. I would encourage affiliates to ignore

proclamations of easy earnings and high EPCs - the most important thing is

to test everything yourself and promote what works for you.

Q. How has affiliate marketing changed in the last seven years? What

strategies would you implement now that you would not or could not do

years ago?

A. The industry has matured greatly. Seven years ago, many affiliate

marketers were content sites which relied on 468x60 banners. The analytics

were primitive and fewer companies offered affiliate programs.

Now, the industry is so diversified. Essentially, any way to market online

is being leveraged by affiliates... including comparison shopping,

domaining, video, SEO, e-mail, social networks, PPC, rewards programs,

etc.

If I could turn back time, I would have started up multiple niche

community sites back then for popular topics. By now, if nurtured they

would have grown nicely and become lucrative affiliate sites.

Q. If one is gifted marketing an affiliate product or service, is it

likely that this individual can effectively market his/her own products or

services? Should people look into developing their own items while

marketing or instead of marketing others' products/services?

A. I'd say anything that is already selling online can be effectively

marketed through an affiliate program. Selling your own products or

services can certainly provide more rewards in the best case scenario, but

then you've got a lot more risk, too.

If somebody has the infrastructure and know-how to sell a certain product

or service, I'd say to go for it. But don't take uncalculated risks.

Q. What are crucial mistakes that newbies tend to commit?

A. Lack of investment and understanding. It's really difficult to

succeed in affiliate marketing if you are unwilling to spend the time and

money required to develop a long-term strategy. And affiliate marketing is

most certainly not a quick endeavor - it takes patience to endure and

succeed.

Q. What are some of the creative (perhaps seldom used) strategies to

employ in the affiliate marketing field?

A. Simply going beyond the banner. There are a lot of exciting

opportunities out there with Web 2.0. It's just a matter of figuring out a

unique angle.

Q. How long does it realistically take to build a full-time income with

affiliate marketing, assuming "full-time commitment"?

A. I don't think you can qualify and quantify passion. And to me,

passion is an essential ingredient in affiliate marketing success. Also,

there are so many variables, like the size of a given vertical, the

margins involved, competition, etc.

Q. Is it easier to build income from this type of marketing now or was

it easier years ago? (Please consider competition, Internet usage, advent

of Adwords and Pay Per Click, etc.)

A. It was never easy. There was certainly less competition in the past,

but also less in the way of options of advertisers to choose and methods

to promote them. Plus, there is the continuing growth of ecommerce. I

think the opportunities for success are just as healthy now as they were

years ago.

Q. While I know that you do not recommend any particular affiliate

marketing programs, in your estimation, what are the "hottest fields?"

A. The "hottest fields" are a slippery slope. They change over time. I

think the hottest field for any given person should be the area that

interests them most. You can certainly go out there as a mercenary and

promote the most lucrative thing at the moment, like ringtones or debt

consolidation, but I suggest going with a long-term plan in an area that

interests you.

Q. Is there any affiliate marketing software that is a "must" when one

pursues an affiliate marketing venture?

A. This really depends on the type of affiliate. There are software

programs that help optimize affiliate efforts for different affiliates.

For instance, if you're working with data feeds, you should check out

WebMerge.

Q. What are your views concerning affiliate marketing networks such as

LinkShare and Commission Junction?

A. I think they're the backbone of the industry. The affiliate networks

account for the majority of large affiliate programs, and they also

provide a level of convenience in that you can consolidate a lot of your

activity under a few logins.

I would like to see them work together to establish standards. For

instance, there is a lack of standards in data feeds, which is a challenge

for the folks using them.

Q. Can any absolute statements be made regarding the most lucrative type

of affiliate marketing payment system (e.g pay per sale, pay per click,

etc.)?

A. In general, CPA seems to be more profitable, especially offers for

products and services that are not physical items.

Q. What influence, if any, will blogs make on the affiliate marketing

landscape?

A. I think some are influencial in the way networks, merchants and

affiliates operate. For instance, Jangro.com is considered to have had an

impact in the decision by Commission Junction to change their plans on the

Link Management Initiative (LMI).

Q. What are, statistically, the best avenues to market an affiliate

program?

A. It depends on the vertical. Email and PPC work well for some CPA

offers, while an established web presence can be more important for

selling goods on a revenue share.

Q. Do you see any future trends in the affiliate marketing field?

A. Smaller affiliate programs. Affiliate managers are focusing on

working more closely with fewer affiliates. Also, I think we'll see an

increasing number of affiliates embrace the opportunities out there with

Web 2.0 and innovate with the new tools that roll out.

Q. What current projects are you undertaking in affiliate marketing, including

your work with the Affiliate Summit?

A. My main focus is Affiliate Summit, the largest affiliate marketing

conference. Our last show had over 2,000 this past January in Las Vegas.

We also have events scheduled in Miami (July 8-10) and London (September

28) this year.

Additionally, I provide affiliate management and consulting services as

Shawn Collins Consulting, and I publish an annual report on affiliate

marketing benchmarks called AffStat.

I also have a blog at http://blog.affiliatetip.com where I post daily

about issues in affiliate marketing. And I'm the co-host with Lisa

Picarille, Editor-in-Chief at Revenue Magazine, for the weekly show,

Affiliate Thing, on WebmasterRadio.FM.

Q. What do you attribute your affiliate marketing success to (e.g.,

building content, writing articles, following footsteps of a mentor, forum

participation, etc.)? Please include any last words of advice for one who

aspires to succeed/excel in the affiliate marketing field.

A. It's all about dedication, tenacity, and relationships. I don't look

at my affiliate marketing activity as a job, but rather a fun, profitable

hobby. Over the decade I've been involved in the industry, there are way

too many factors to list that have contributed to my success. But I'd say

the most important of all is to constantly endeavor to learn from others.

Most affiliate marketers are always looking for a successful online market that gives the largest and most profitable paycheck Sometimes they think by just posting an article or ad, their wallet will fatten in no time flat. Actually, it is more complicated than that and becomes a trial and error process for the internet marketer.

There are many online secrets such as article writing, blogs, free ads and viral free reports that have worked and will continue to work for your affiliate marketing business. With these 3 tips, you should be able to get a leg up on your competition and survive in this competitive environment.

What are these Five internet affiliate secrets?

1. Use what is called a squeeze page as a lead in to your website. This is a short teaser website, usually 1 page that has audio, video or a form for you to sign up for a free report which captures your name and email address. After capturing your information, you are usually sent to a more detailed website for further information. What is important, is that you can get a duplicate website just like the one you are looking at.

2. Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do. With that in mind, you will actually have to purchase the product before doing the review. You can write and include articles based on your experience with the product or service that you are offering.

3. Only 2 possible outcomes can happen with a web page, the person purchases or leaves your site forever. You must give reasons for the visitor to return. Offering a email course will keep your name in front of the potential customer and maybe close the sale at a later date. It is reported that your message must be delivered at least 7 times or more, for the potential customer to trust you.

4. To get the kind of traffic desired, you must use the right key words or put your message in the right section of your advertising source. May starting out use free resources for advertising such as Craigslist.org, Backpage.com or Kijiji.com . It should be your goal to put your offer in front of the right customer for your affiliate program.

5. Try to write a minimum of 3 articles per week, with at least 400-700 words in length. Always include a resource box as a way to tell readers about you and a way to link to your affiliate website. With proper advertising methods, you can target hundreds of new people a week as your articles, blogs and ads are read. You should be able to interest 1 or 2 per hundred in your offer. So, continuous advertising should be your priority.

The 5 methods given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part. For writing articles, there are many article submission services or software that you can purchase to make the job a little easier.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can maintain a good source of income and survive in this business that not all internet marketers can do. Besides, think of the huge affiliate paychecks you will be receiving. Many start small, receiving up to $100 a day, with some making upwards of $1,000 daily exclusively with affiliate products.

An affiliate marketing website is a great way to promote top quality products. Remember that computers are not easy on the eyes, which makes visitors have a short attention span. What do you do? You have to keep them interested and make your affiliate marketing website flow naturally, easy to read, and with content related to what you're promoting.

Here are some helpful methods to creating a profitable affiliate marketing website:

1. Headlines - Headlines are one of the most import aspects within your website. A lot of your time and energy should be spent creating an attention grabbing headline. If your headline is not compelling, your visitors will not be interested in anything else that you have to say.

2. Subheadlines - Within your sales letter or article, a good way to break up paragraphs is to use subheadlines. These are typically headlines within your article that begin inner paragraphs and highlight the main points within that paragraph.

3. Content - Fill that affiliate marketing website up with content. This is just as important as the headline and you must convince your customer why the product you're promoting is the best. Provide them with the necessary information they need and keep it straight to the point and simple. Telling your visitors about the benefits of the product is also a must and even tell them what their missing out without having this awesome product that you're promoting.

4. Keywords - Keywords within your affiliate marketing website is a must. Your headlines, subheads, and sales letter should all include keywords and phrases that relate to your product. But everything must flow naturally. This also helps in getting targeted traffic to your website.

5. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) - Adding a FAQ page to your affiliate marketing website is something worth having. It provides customers with facts about the product(s) to keep them satisfied.

6. Get Emails From Customers - This is a great way to get customers to keep coming back and keep them updated about new products and service you're selling that might be of interest to you. Don't bombard them with emails though. This tends to annoy people. Well annoys me anyway.

7. Keep Your Website Professional - What I mean by this relates back to keeping your visitors interested and how your site should flow naturally. Make all graphics, videos, and articles readable and clear. No fuzzy images of the products you're promoting. Make sure your website can load quickly. Nobody wants to wait around for a long period of time for a website to open.

8. Navigation - Your website should also be easy to navigate around and each link should work properly. Remember everything should relate to the overall theme or topic of your affiliate marketing website. This also goes with your links.

9. Contact (Not Necessary) - Providing contact information such as an email is always a plus and adds to the credibility of your site. It's a comfort thing as well to your customers. If they have any problems within your website that they are having trouble with, you will be able to provide assistance. This will also help you fix things within your website. Another thing about having contact information is that customers can leave you a testimony about how your site helped them pick a good quality product that satisfied them.

10. Check It Over - Checking over your affiliate marketing website for any mistakes is always essential before publishing to the internet. Make sure everything relates to the theme including your URL (website address).

Creating an affiliate marketing website may seem like a challenge for many. Keep these methods in mind and you should do fine. But I'm am only talking about the basics for you to get a little understanding on what needs to go into a website. As you have searched for, and are currently reading this article, it is more than likely you are looking to make money using the internet (and probably haven't had too much success so far!). It is also pretty likely you have researched a hundred and one different ways to do exactly that, heard a great number of miraculous claims concerning mythical turnkey monster-profit making websites, and maybe even brought a few of the products offering this overnight success. If so it is nearly 100% likely you have failed to make even a cent from the internet!

There is money to be made...

I am here to tell you that it is possible to make at least pocket money, and often a lot more, online - the first step though is to stop believing the nonsensical claims that you can be making $100,000 plus within a month. It simply won't happen. If somebody did have a 'secret so powerful' (seen that little catch phrase before?) do you really think they'd dilute it by inviting you to take part for a one of fee of only $40. So forget about the get quick rich schemes and buckle down for the long haul - if you are ready to work your socks off to get it there really is money to be made online.

I haven't tried all the different money making methods online because there are just too many to test. However I believe I have now tried all of the 'classics' you're likely to come across: filling in surveys for about a dollar an hour; buying and selling websites with very limited success; promoting blogs like crazy for AdSense pittance, and even dabbling in Forex trading which ended pretty miserably if I'm honest. In the end, after years of toil and money wasted, I ended back exactly where I started - back in the very difficult, but also very profitable, world of affiliate marketing. In this article I am going to discuss how I have been successful and how to start off on a process which can be highly rewarding financially.

Affiliate marketing - a quick introduction

The basic concept of affiliate marketing, if you don't already know, is to market and sell another person's product in exchange for a percentage of the revenue. The simplicity of the affiliate marketing model is the key here and the reason, for me, why it is perfect for beginners. There are many electronic products, such as e-books and online videos, as well as member based websites which pay commissions without you even handling a physical product- these sites track the links for you directly too so there is no technical difficulty involved.

And I think you'd be surprised how lucrative this particular industry can be - take Money Super Market in the UK for just one example, the comparison site receives commissions totaling millions of dollars simply for redirecting customers to its affiliated products (whether this be insurance, heating and electric bills etc.).

This is of course an extreme example and the marketing involved for these huge sites also aggregates to millions of dollars. However there is still money to be made on the smaller scale - some gambling sites pay 30% of the lifetime revenue of each new member signed up for example, and most products on affiliate product directories like ClickBank pay between 50 and 75% commission on each product. E-books have recently overtaken paper sales in the US and as a result could be just the money-making opportunity you have been looking for.

It isn't easy though and you will need to put a lot of work to have any success at all. You need to pick a product that people will buy; create a website with some good content; include affiliate links people will click on, and then market the hell out of it- and even then you may not succeed! Keep trying though, keep refining your technique and testing new niches and eventually success should come - this is what I have managed to do and from my ten different websites I now make a comfortable living, I still work, but now only part time, and I hope to retire at a relatively early age too thanks to affiliate marketing. I will never be a millionaire but I think you'll agree thousands of dollars a year is a lot better than being lost in the affiliate wilderness.

Where to start - finding your niche and products...

So where do you start? Well finding a product to promote is not a bad place! There are literally thousands upon thousands of products out there, many of which are admittedly very poor quality and which will never sell a single copy. On the other hand there are also a great many products which will sell naturally because people seek them out actively, or, will sell because the sales copy is so excellent. The best products, the type you are looking for, are those products of high quality and good commission that will sell like they're running out fast. These gems are not that easy to find though I'm afraid.

As I say ClickBank isn't a bad place to start for anyone new to affiliate marketing as the Clickbank marketplace has a huge range of different niches and affiliate products. The problem is that many of the products have already been too heavily promoted and the markets have become saturated - for instance weight loss and language learning are so popular with affiliate marketers it is very, very difficult to penetrate the market at all. On the other hand many of the products have awful sales copy and market appeal so you won't sell any of these ones either.

There are however good, untapped niches out there just waiting to be exploited - I made a lot of money promoting iPad related products by beating the affiliate wave, and also promoted specific sporting events like the Grand National 2011 to attract highly targeted, and hence profitable, customers in two of my successful affiliate ventures. I would recommend picking products where the ClickBank gravity is good, you would buy the product yourself and you know a fair amount about the niche (this comes in very useful when marketing, trust me!).

If you really don't know what products you will be able to sell, or really want to gain access to the very best and latest niches, there are some excellent products out there. Brad Callen's niche finder for instance is one of the best products to do this as it allows you to identify how competitive any keyword is (and hence the niche) and also to find the most under exploited niches. This will allow you to get ahead from the very beginning of your affiliate marketing career - I will also say that you can include more than one product on your website if you wish although they must be related and also complementary. You can't really get away with saying two competing products are the best in the field, just as you shouldn't market weight loss and online marketing products side by side.

Setting up an affiliate website...

Next you need a website or blog to promote your selected products. In the past this wasn't actually a necessity as you could promote affiliate links directly (letting their sales page do the hard work for you). However Google AdWords has banned affiliate links for Google ads along and also now EzineArticles has banned them from author resource boxes. It is now possible to 'cloak' affiliate links but I honestly find it a lot easier to set up your own website - this gives you greater control, the chance to build an email list and also the opportunity to include your own sales copy (often this will be better than the actual sales page).

Weebly is a good site if you want your own site but don't wish to spend any money in the beginning - Weebly offers a free sub domain and hosting and the sites are also listed in Google pretty quickly. I have two good Weebly sites myself but I have to say the results are far better if you invest in a domain name and professional hosting - once you progress and start seeing results (or not) you will need to upgrade to the professional features which aren't really worth the money.

Site Build It has to be my favourite website for high quality website design and hosting though and the easiest way to start a professional looking affiliate site- the support is excellent and guides you through the whole affiliate process so you have the very best chance of success with affiliate marketing. There is no other website builder with this level of focus specifically on making affiliate sales and it really is a must for any affiliate marketer in my opinion.

Marketing your affiliate site...

So now you have a great product and a fantastic new website but I'm afraid it is only now that the real hard work begins, the real battle that scares most would be affiliate marketers off. It has of course come to the time to start marketing your site, to start attracting those visitors who will buy the products and make you your commission. This really isn't easy and even the best affiliate marketers don't get results immediately - if you use the 'hot' niches identified in Brad Callen's software you should start to see positive results after a month or two I'm sure (sometimes even less).

There are a huge number of useful methods to market a new affiliate website but I'm afraid I simply won't be able to go into any of these in great detail here. However I will say that it takes time for a new website to get noticed so don't get disheartened early on, and also, more importantly, that the more you promote your website, the better the results you will eventually get. It is first of all essential to submit your sites to the search engines and directories, Google and Yahoo especially. It is then important to aim for highly targeted traffic in your niche, and remember lead quality is far more important than quantity - if you are promoting laptops, for example, and have a visitor searching 'I need a new laptop' on Google, this is far better than one hundred people coming from one of these paid to surf sites you have paid five or six dollars.

I would also recommend you don't get involved in a constant struggle for low quality backlinks - backlinks are essential to rank highly in the search engines but these will come with writing good quality content and becoming a useful member of communities and forums in your niche. By contributing helpfully to forum and blog discussions you gain a good reputation and can drop your website link in to help with SEO. The more you put your site out there the more visitors you will get and there are loads of ways to do just this.

I also write articles for EzineArticles as part of my marketing efforts and these provide valuable traffic and one way backlinks - many of my articles are republished which once again provides new backlinks. As well as this article marketing technique you can also use social media like Facebook and Twitter, social bookmarking like Stumble Upon and paid advertising to drive new traffic to your site. As long as your website content is useful and interesting you will soon get noticed - content is king online nowadays and as long as you keep this in mind you will probably one day see an explosion in both your visitors and ClickBank sales (as long as you keep promoting your site heavily and on a consistent basis). I will also say finally that once you have them, an email list is an excellent way to keep first of all, and also upsell, to your existing customers.

Website marketing really is a very complicated business however and it takes a huge amount of reading to master even a small percentage of the methods available. There are loads of top products online so you should read around and maybe invest wisely to help you gain some more in depth understanding than I can offer here.

And a final note...

Just to conclude I would like to say a big thank you for reading this article and good luck in your career as an affiliate marketer. There really is money to be made out there so go and grab your slice of the pie just like I did - stick with it, try new things, and eventually I am sure you'll reach that magic day where the first sale appear is in your ClickBank account!

I find it a bit disturbing, as so many so-called guru marketer people say, the affiliate marketing is "easy". Be finally it can how hard? Are there millions of people online so you can take at least 10 sales per day, right? INCORRECT.

Now don't get me wrong, I love affiliate marketing and most of my income from affiliate marketing on the Internet. So I said Internet marketers who only push their newest and best products, but they don't really have many people say, to benefit from affiliate marketing. As a professional partner, just like any other business is running, and you be better prepared to work hard, in the beginning, to view the results you want!

So, in this article will share with you my top 5 tips that you must follow to really make online from affiliate marketing a nice income:

1. Get ready to work. I touched this earlier, but some people want to make money, but want to work for them. Let me ask you a question: what do 99% of successful owners have in common? I will tell you: they worked her butt off, when to start their business. Affiliate marketing is no different, because you need to hit the trenches to be successful.

2. You need a Web site (or sites). Many people try and tell you that you make money with affiliate - marketing without a website. In theory, they are right, but as we all know, a "theory" and a "law" are completely different things. If you have your own website, the content control you may, and as long as you run not your domain your minimum hosting fees to pay and let no one, the way of you. You can run not the next step of my affiliate tips even without your own website!

3. Must create a list.Build of a targeted e-Mail list is not necessary, but if you want a successful, long-term business with affiliate marketing, then need to create a targeted e-Mail list of subscribers. To create an e-Mail list, you must a a page site, known as a "squeeze page". A squeeze page or lead-recording page is simply a page that your site visitors are a place their name and enter your e-Mail address. In exchange for them type their information type usually a free report in exchange. For example, can, if you write your site on Weight loss, a short 10-page report titled "how to lose 20 pounds in 20 days!" I created a list, if I am for the first time, and I have still more than $1,000 per month. However, if you create a list, get things much easier and more fun!

4. Create great content. If you want to be a leading partner in your market, you need to deliver great content to your customers. This can come in the form of articles, eBooks, newsletters, videos, webinars, PowerPoint presentations, etc. There are hundreds of possibilities, your content syndicate, and you need to create great content that people will crave more than their coffee in the morning or 05 beer!

5. Benefits.Perhaps the most important component of creating a successful Web business of any kind is to use the power of leverage. Leverage essentially does something once, and paid for it over and over again. For example, suppose you write a great article, and sets it to a popular blog in your niche. This article could be hundreds of views, generate potentially, month after month, year after year. You can make this a part of the contents to a nice little income for months or years.
