WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

Archive for November, 2011

Most affiliate marketers are always looking for a successful online market that gives the largest and most profitable paycheck Sometimes they think by just posting an article or ad, their wallet will fatten in no time flat. Actually, it is more complicated than that and becomes a trial and error process for the internet marketer.

There are many online secrets such as article writing, blogs, free ads and viral free reports that have worked and will continue to work for your affiliate marketing business. With these 3 tips, you should be able to get a leg up on your competition and survive in this competitive environment.

What are these Five internet affiliate secrets?

1. Use what is called a squeeze page as a lead in to your website. This is a short teaser website, usually 1 page that has audio, video or a form for you to sign up for a free report which captures your name and email address. After capturing your information, you are usually sent to a more detailed website for further information. What is important, is that you can get a duplicate website just like the one you are looking at.

2. Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do. With that in mind, you will actually have to purchase the product before doing the review. You can write and include articles based on your experience with the product or service that you are offering.

3. Only 2 possible outcomes can happen with a web page, the person purchases or leaves your site forever. You must give reasons for the visitor to return. Offering a email course will keep your name in front of the potential customer and maybe close the sale at a later date. It is reported that your message must be delivered at least 7 times or more, for the potential customer to trust you.

4. To get the kind of traffic desired, you must use the right key words or put your message in the right section of your advertising source. May starting out use free resources for advertising such as Craigslist.org, Backpage.com or Kijiji.com . It should be your goal to put your offer in front of the right customer for your affiliate program.

5. Try to write a minimum of 3 articles per week, with at least 400-700 words in length. Always include a resource box as a way to tell readers about you and a way to link to your affiliate website. With proper advertising methods, you can target hundreds of new people a week as your articles, blogs and ads are read. You should be able to interest 1 or 2 per hundred in your offer. So, continuous advertising should be your priority.

The 5 methods given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part. For writing articles, there are many article submission services or software that you can purchase to make the job a little easier.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can maintain a good source of income and survive in this business that not all internet marketers can do. Besides, think of the huge affiliate paychecks you will be receiving. Many start small, receiving up to $100 a day, with some making upwards of $1,000 daily exclusively with affiliate products.

An affiliate marketing website is a great way to promote top quality products. Remember that computers are not easy on the eyes, which makes visitors have a short attention span. What do you do? You have to keep them interested and make your affiliate marketing website flow naturally, easy to read, and with content related to what you're promoting.

Here are some helpful methods to creating a profitable affiliate marketing website:

1. Headlines - Headlines are one of the most import aspects within your website. A lot of your time and energy should be spent creating an attention grabbing headline. If your headline is not compelling, your visitors will not be interested in anything else that you have to say.

2. Subheadlines - Within your sales letter or article, a good way to break up paragraphs is to use subheadlines. These are typically headlines within your article that begin inner paragraphs and highlight the main points within that paragraph.

3. Content - Fill that affiliate marketing website up with content. This is just as important as the headline and you must convince your customer why the product you're promoting is the best. Provide them with the necessary information they need and keep it straight to the point and simple. Telling your visitors about the benefits of the product is also a must and even tell them what their missing out without having this awesome product that you're promoting.

4. Keywords - Keywords within your affiliate marketing website is a must. Your headlines, subheads, and sales letter should all include keywords and phrases that relate to your product. But everything must flow naturally. This also helps in getting targeted traffic to your website.

5. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) - Adding a FAQ page to your affiliate marketing website is something worth having. It provides customers with facts about the product(s) to keep them satisfied.

6. Get Emails From Customers - This is a great way to get customers to keep coming back and keep them updated about new products and service you're selling that might be of interest to you. Don't bombard them with emails though. This tends to annoy people. Well annoys me anyway.

7. Keep Your Website Professional - What I mean by this relates back to keeping your visitors interested and how your site should flow naturally. Make all graphics, videos, and articles readable and clear. No fuzzy images of the products you're promoting. Make sure your website can load quickly. Nobody wants to wait around for a long period of time for a website to open.

8. Navigation - Your website should also be easy to navigate around and each link should work properly. Remember everything should relate to the overall theme or topic of your affiliate marketing website. This also goes with your links.

9. Contact (Not Necessary) - Providing contact information such as an email is always a plus and adds to the credibility of your site. It's a comfort thing as well to your customers. If they have any problems within your website that they are having trouble with, you will be able to provide assistance. This will also help you fix things within your website. Another thing about having contact information is that customers can leave you a testimony about how your site helped them pick a good quality product that satisfied them.

10. Check It Over - Checking over your affiliate marketing website for any mistakes is always essential before publishing to the internet. Make sure everything relates to the theme including your URL (website address).

Creating an affiliate marketing website may seem like a challenge for many. Keep these methods in mind and you should do fine. But I'm am only talking about the basics for you to get a little understanding on what needs to go into a website. There are many educational courses out there that not only teach you how to make a website, but to build a highly profitable online business as well.

As you have searched for, and are currently reading this article, it is more than likely you are looking to make money using the internet (and probably haven't had too much success so far!). It is also pretty likely you have researched a hundred and one different ways to do exactly that, heard a great number of miraculous claims concerning mythical turnkey monster-profit making websites, and maybe even brought a few of the products offering this overnight success. If so it is nearly 100% likely you have failed to make even a cent from the internet!

There is money to be made...

I am here to tell you that it is possible to make at least pocket money, and often a lot more, online - the first step though is to stop believing the nonsensical claims that you can be making $100,000 plus within a month. It simply won't happen. If somebody did have a 'secret so powerful' (seen that little catch phrase before?) do you really think they'd dilute it by inviting you to take part for a one of fee of only $40. So forget about the get quick rich schemes and buckle down for the long haul - if you are ready to work your socks off to get it there really is money to be made online.

I haven't tried all the different money making methods online because there are just too many to test. However I believe I have now tried all of the 'classics' you're likely to come across: filling in surveys for about a dollar an hour; buying and selling websites with very limited success; promoting blogs like crazy for AdSense pittance, and even dabbling in Forex trading which ended pretty miserably if I'm honest. In the end, after years of toil and money wasted, I ended back exactly where I started - back in the very difficult, but also very profitable, world of affiliate marketing. In this article I am going to discuss how I have been successful and how to start off on a process which can be highly rewarding financially.

Affiliate marketing - a quick introduction

The basic concept of affiliate marketing, if you don't already know, is to market and sell another person's product in exchange for a percentage of the revenue. The simplicity of the affiliate marketing model is the key here and the reason, for me, why it is perfect for beginners. There are many electronic products, such as e-books and online videos, as well as member based websites which pay commissions without you even handling a physical product- these sites track the links for you directly too so there is no technical difficulty involved.

And I think you'd be surprised how lucrative this particular industry can be - take Money Super Market in the UK for just one example, the comparison site receives commissions totaling millions of dollars simply for redirecting customers to its affiliated products (whether this be insurance, heating and electric bills etc.).

This is of course an extreme example and the marketing involved for these huge sites also aggregates to millions of dollars. However there is still money to be made on the smaller scale - some gambling sites pay 30% of the lifetime revenue of each new member signed up for example, and most products on affiliate product directories like ClickBank pay between 50 and 75% commission on each product. E-books have recently overtaken paper sales in the US and as a result could be just the money-making opportunity you have been looking for.

It isn't easy though and you will need to put a lot of work to have any success at all. You need to pick a product that people will buy; create a website with some good content; include affiliate links people will click on, and then market the hell out of it- and even then you may not succeed! Keep trying though, keep refining your technique and testing new niches and eventually success should come - this is what I have managed to do and from my ten different websites I now make a comfortable living, I still work, but now only part time, and I hope to retire at a relatively early age too thanks to affiliate marketing. I will never be a millionaire but I think you'll agree thousands of dollars a year is a lot better than being lost in the affiliate wilderness.

Where to start - finding your niche and products...

So where do you start? Well finding a product to promote is not a bad place! There are literally thousands upon thousands of products out there, many of which are admittedly very poor quality and which will never sell a single copy. On the other hand there are also a great many products which will sell naturally because people seek them out actively, or, will sell because the sales copy is so excellent. The best products, the type you are looking for, are those products of high quality and good commission that will sell like they're running out fast. These gems are not that easy to find though I'm afraid.

As I say ClickBank isn't a bad place to start for anyone new to affiliate marketing as the Clickbank marketplace has a huge range of different niches and affiliate products. The problem is that many of the products have already been too heavily promoted and the markets have become saturated - for instance weight loss and language learning are so popular with affiliate marketers it is very, very difficult to penetrate the market at all. On the other hand many of the products have awful sales copy and market appeal so you won't sell any of these ones either.

There are however good, untapped niches out there just waiting to be exploited - I made a lot of money promoting iPad related products by beating the affiliate wave, and also promoted specific sporting events like the Grand National 2011 to attract highly targeted, and hence profitable, customers in two of my successful affiliate ventures. I would recommend picking products where the ClickBank gravity is good, you would buy the product yourself and you know a fair amount about the niche (this comes in very useful when marketing, trust me!).

If you really don't know what products you will be able to sell, or really want to gain access to the very best and latest niches, there are some excellent products out there. Brad Callen's niche finder for instance is one of the best products to do this as it allows you to identify how competitive any keyword is (and hence the niche) and also to find the most under exploited niches. This will allow you to get ahead from the very beginning of your affiliate marketing career - I will also say that you can include more than one product on your website if you wish although they must be related and also complementary. You can't really get away with saying two competing products are the best in the field, just as you shouldn't market weight loss and online marketing products side by side.

Setting up an affiliate website...

Next you need a website or blog to promote your selected products. In the past this wasn't actually a necessity as you could promote affiliate links directly (letting their sales page do the hard work for you). However Google AdWords has banned affiliate links for Google ads along and also now EzineArticles has banned them from author resource boxes. It is now possible to 'cloak' affiliate links but I honestly find it a lot easier to set up your own website - this gives you greater control, the chance to build an email list and also the opportunity to include your own sales copy (often this will be better than the actual sales page).

Weebly is a good site if you want your own site but don't wish to spend any money in the beginning - Weebly offers a free sub domain and hosting and the sites are also listed in Google pretty quickly. I have two good Weebly sites myself but I have to say the results are far better if you invest in a domain name and professional hosting - once you progress and start seeing results (or not) you will need to upgrade to the professional features which aren't really worth the money.

Site Build It has to be my favourite website for high quality website design and hosting though and the easiest way to start a professional looking affiliate site- the support is excellent and guides you through the whole affiliate process so you have the very best chance of success with affiliate marketing. There is no other website builder with this level of focus specifically on making affiliate sales and it really is a must for any affiliate marketer in my opinion.

Marketing your affiliate site...

So now you have a great product and a fantastic new website but I'm afraid it is only now that the real hard work begins, the real battle that scares most would be affiliate marketers off. It has of course come to the time to start marketing your site, to start attracting those visitors who will buy the products and make you your commission. This really isn't easy and even the best affiliate marketers don't get results immediately - if you use the 'hot' niches identified in Brad Callen's software you should start to see positive results after a month or two I'm sure (sometimes even less).

There are a huge number of useful methods to market a new affiliate website but I'm afraid I simply won't be able to go into any of these in great detail here. However I will say that it takes time for a new website to get noticed so don't get disheartened early on, and also, more importantly, that the more you promote your website, the better the results you will eventually get. It is first of all essential to submit your sites to the search engines and directories, Google and Yahoo especially. It is then important to aim for highly targeted traffic in your niche, and remember lead quality is far more important than quantity - if you are promoting laptops, for example, and have a visitor searching 'I need a new laptop' on Google, this is far better than one hundred people coming from one of these paid to surf sites you have paid five or six dollars.

I would also recommend you don't get involved in a constant struggle for low quality backlinks - backlinks are essential to rank highly in the search engines but these will come with writing good quality content and becoming a useful member of communities and forums in your niche. By contributing helpfully to forum and blog discussions you gain a good reputation and can drop your website link in to help with SEO. The more you put your site out there the more visitors you will get and there are loads of ways to do just this.

I also write articles for EzineArticles as part of my marketing efforts and these provide valuable traffic and one way backlinks - many of my articles are republished which once again provides new backlinks. As well as this article marketing technique you can also use social media like Facebook and Twitter, social bookmarking like Stumble Upon and paid advertising to drive new traffic to your site. As long as your website content is useful and interesting you will soon get noticed - content is king online nowadays and as long as you keep this in mind you will probably one day see an explosion in both your visitors and ClickBank sales (as long as you keep promoting your site heavily and on a consistent basis). I will also say finally that once you have them, an email list is an excellent way to keep first of all, and also upsell, to your existing customers.

Website marketing really is a very complicated business however and it takes a huge amount of reading to master even a small percentage of the methods available. There are loads of top products online so you should read around and maybe invest wisely to help you gain some more in depth understanding than I can offer here.

And a final note...

Just to conclude I would like to say a big thank you for reading this article and good luck in your career as an affiliate marketer. There really is money to be made out there so go and grab your slice of the pie just like I did - stick with it, try new things, and eventually I am sure you'll reach that magic day where the first sale appear is in your ClickBank account!

I find it a bit disturbing, as so many so-called guru marketer people say, the affiliate marketing is "easy". Be finally it can how hard? Are there millions of people online so you can take at least 10 sales per day, right? INCORRECT.

Now don't get me wrong, I love affiliate marketing and most of my income from affiliate marketing on the Internet. So I said Internet marketers who only push their newest and best products, but they don't really have many people say, to benefit from affiliate marketing. As a professional partner, just like any other business is running, and you be better prepared to work hard, in the beginning, to view the results you want!

So, in this article will share with you my top 5 tips that you must follow to really make online from affiliate marketing a nice income:

1. Get ready to work. I touched this earlier, but some people want to make money, but want to work for them. Let me ask you a question: what do 99% of successful owners have in common? I will tell you: they worked her butt off, when to start their business. Affiliate marketing is no different, because you need to hit the trenches to be successful.

2. You need a Web site (or sites). Many people try and tell you that you make money with affiliate - marketing without a website. In theory, they are right, but as we all know, a "theory" and a "law" are completely different things. If you have your own website, the content control you may, and as long as you run not your domain your minimum hosting fees to pay and let no one, the way of you. You can run not the next step of my affiliate tips even without your own website!

3. Must create a list.Build of a targeted e-Mail list is not necessary, but if you want a successful, long-term business with affiliate marketing, then need to create a targeted e-Mail list of subscribers. To create an e-Mail list, you must a a page site, known as a "squeeze page". A squeeze page or lead-recording page is simply a page that your site visitors are a place their name and enter your e-Mail address. In exchange for them type their information type usually a free report in exchange. For example, can, if you write your site on Weight loss, a short 10-page report titled "how to lose 20 pounds in 20 days!" I created a list, if I am for the first time, and I have still more than $1,000 per month. However, if you create a list, get things much easier and more fun!

4. Create great content. If you want to be a leading partner in your market, you need to deliver great content to your customers. This can come in the form of articles, eBooks, newsletters, videos, webinars, PowerPoint presentations, etc. There are hundreds of possibilities, your content syndicate, and you need to create great content that people will crave more than their coffee in the morning or 05 beer!

5. Benefits.Perhaps the most important component of creating a successful Web business of any kind is to use the power of leverage. Leverage essentially does something once, and paid for it over and over again. For example, suppose you write a great article, and sets it to a popular blog in your niche. This article could be hundreds of views, generate potentially, month after month, year after year. You can make this a part of the contents to a nice little income for months or years.

For many years, affiliate marketing has provided many home based employees' good pay. It is a proven method for affiliate marketers to earn cash without risking or spending too much. As a matter of fact, you don't need to spend a dime to start a business because you don't need to start up your own affiliate marketing site to earn money. For starters, here are some methods you can do to start your earning cash:

1. Affiliate product

This is the most common practice in affiliate marketing. Simply find a product or service to promote. By successfully generating more visitors to a site or selling products, you can earn from commissions. The best products to promote are virtual products. What are virtual products? It is classified as products that are available online such as music videos, songs, e-books, softwares or online tools. Customers' can immediately download them upon purchase. Commonly, merchants pay 50% commission.

2. Write electronic-books

If you are a natural born writer, writing is a piece of cake for you. You may want to transform your hobby into cash by writing e-books. It is a great way to promote affiliate products if you don't have a website. Keep in mind that this is an e-book, not a product catalog, so make sure your article is informative. Your readers would truly appreciate it if it doesn't seem like pop-up ads transformed into text. Keep advertising at the minimal by placing attractive banners, text ads or links at the middle and end of your e-book.

3. Email marketing

Writing emails sounds easy. On the other hand, email marketing is a bit different. To be able to get a wide range of customers interested in a particular product you will be promoting is difficult. There are companies that offer email marketing jobs, wherein the task is to send out promotional emails to thousands of customers for a low cost. However, the people who will be receiving that email may not be interested in the product you are promoting or they may be people who are paid to read the emails.

You may also build your own list of potential customers, which will be very complicated and time consuming. However, the prize for having your own list is endless. Nonetheless, there are profitable email companies that provide good pay because they have a good email marketing system.

Now that you know how to earn cash even without a website, you can earn hundreds of dollars in affiliate marketing. You don't need to shell out money to start up your own home based business. With perseverance, diligence, and knowledge, you can earn like a pro.

Becoming successful at affiliate marketing doesn't have to take forever or cost any money. I managed to build up a profitable affiliate marketing business in a matter of months using a simple step-by-step system that anyone can follow.

Affiliate Marketing – A Beginners Guide

Before the Internet, if you wanted to sell a new product you had to do market research, develop the product, produce the product, advertise and finally sell the product.  With the power of the web however, anyone with the ability to draw and funnel traffic can sell products in just about any niche market.

Affiliate marketing is the process of promoting other people's products, driving targeted traffic towards their sales pages, and getting a percentage of the sale as commission for finding the customer.  The size of the commission depends on the market, and the type of product, and can typically range from 5% to 100% or more (some affiliate programs actually pay out more than 100% of the sale price, since they know their backend systems will generate further profits from that customer!)

Physical products, from books to bikes, typically pay a small commission of around 5%.  This is because physical products have high production costs, warehousing, shipping etc.  Information products on the other hand, like ebooks or downloadable video, have virtually zero production and distribution costs, and so commissions tend to be much higher.  40% to 75% commissions are commonly paid to the affiliate for finding the customer which means that top affiliates (known as super affiliates) can earn very substantial earnings, even though they don't sell any of their own products.

Product owners can run their own affiliate programs, or use an affiliate marketplace.  While both approaches have their advantages and disadvantages I suggest looking at products available through an affiliate marketplace to begin with.  The reasons being that you can find multiple products to promote, and you can be sure of getting paid in a timely fashion (without having to research or trust the product owner!)

Affiliate products can be promoted in many ways, via direct text links from your site, with banners on your site, in links from your articles, or even in your own products.  Probably the best way to promote them however is by sending email promotions to the subscribers on your opt-in email list (you have started to build a list right?)

One of the other major benefits of selling as an affiliate is that the product owner does all the selling.  If you choose a good product to promote then it will already have a well written sales letter, and many products will have pre-written sample emails that you can literally cut and paste right into your autoresponder.  Just change your affiliate links (provided by Clickbank) and you're good to go.  In fact, you can preload your autoresponder sequence with many, many promotions which will keep earning you money for months, or even years after you set it up!

This is where the power of an autoresponder really shows.  You could load 52 emails, one per week, for an entire year, then just concentrate on driving traffic to your opt-in page.  So long as you have people subscribing to your list, you know you'll be making money on autopilot, whether you're in the office, or at the beach!

Now, you don't want to just bombard your list with offers, you want them to keep reading your emails after all!  For that reason, you should mix your promotions with content - good, quality, free content that will keep them coming back for more.

Different marketers have different ideas about the ratio of content to promotions, but personally I would say that if you give your subscribers one quality content email per week (quick tip, link to an article or free video etc.) that offers real value, then you can safely send one or two promotions each week.

Some affiliate programs will also pay on a second tier.  What that means is, rather than finding customers for a product owner, you can find other affiliates.  You'll then get a commissions every time that affiliate makes a sale!  The commission will tend to be smaller than if you found the customers yourself, but any affiliate you find could potentially make thousands of sales, and you get a piece of every one.

10 Steps To Improve Your Online Business

There are many setbacks that can cost you time and money if they are not taken care of. The best strategy is to try to avoid mistakes as much as possible and make sure to continually revise what you are doing and stick with what works. It is also very important to have an attitude to learn new skills and adapt to new technologies. Creativity even with small ideas can have a big impact and be the decisive factor in how well your business performs.

The following 10 steps are proven to work and will help you improve your online business.

1. Your Own Domain Name.

Make sure you have a legitimate domain name for your website. It is best to set up your own site then add links to any business you may have. Affiliate links are considered duplicates by search engines and your site will not be listed on their searches. Regular domains are also easier to remember and make your site appear more professional and authentic.

2. Your Own Website.

It is easy to set up a webpage these days even for the novice. Most website hosting packages come with website editing software, either at no cost or for a low price. You can add text, links and banners to give it a professional look. You will also want to make sure that your site is search engine friendly. The best way to establish that is to have useful content that will be of value to your visitors. Also make sure to have a webpage title that describes your site accurately and contains the major key words listed on you site. Meta tags are also very important, and will help make you site searchable. Most editing software will allow you to ad these components.

3. Advertising.

After building your website you will want to attract visitors. The fastest way is to place paid ads in news papers or online. Another method is by setting a pay-per-click campaign with Google, Yahoo or any major search engine. This will give you targeted traffic almost overnight. Make sure to study your budget and advertising goals carefully since it is very easy to overspend when it comes to advertising.

4. Establish Links.

To get free traffic from search engines, you will have to establish external links pointing to your site. The more links you have, the higher your Google Page Rank (PR) will become. Also make sure you link to websites with relatively high PR. The quality of these links will affect how your website gets ranked. Any page over PR 4 is considered good to most marketers even though the scale goes to PR10. The Google toolbar has a PR meter that will tell you the rank of any page you visit. It is recommended that you install it.

5. Blogging for Traffic.

There are several ways to establish links to you site, but it usually does take some time. An easy way is to setup blogs with some of the major blogging sites like Myspace, WordPress and Blogger. You can set a blog very easily and talk about your business and how it will benefit your customers. You can add weekly updates, new product info, or just keep everyone informed about how your business is progressing. Since search engines will pickup most major blogs these days, you should include your sigfile (signature file) at the end of your blog. Make sure it contains your website's URL to get traffic and improve your page rank.

6. More Ways to get Traffic.

In addition to blogs you can also write business articles like the one you are reading now and publish it to the many ezine article websites. You can also write press releases and have them published to the major distribution sites in the same manor. Business forums are also a great place to learn and get traffic to your website. It is advisable as well to use your sigfile when you contribute to these forums. Also make sure to read all the forum rules and contribute effectively without spamming.

7. Building the List.

Building a prospect list is a major part of growing your business. It is a known fact that most successful internet marketers maintain a list of people that signup to receive information and offers from them. There are many autoresponder subscription services that allow you to build and maintain your list online. AWeber and Response Magic are popular ones that allow you to install an email capture page on your website to have your customers fill out and request more information. Recurring newsletters and product offers will bring you long term business.

8. Personal Contact and Follow up.

Just like any business, the personal aspect is of great importance. You must seek to maintain contact with your business prospects and not rely on the automation part of the business to take over. You always need to gain their trust and let them know that there is an actual person or people doing the business. You can establish that by phone, email, your blog updates or any means that you choose as long as you maintain a personal trust aspect between yourself and your customers.

9. New Trends and Technologies.

Keep an eye out for new trends and technologies in the marketplace. There was a time when email and computers did not exist. Look how things are continuously changing and a lot of new products and improvements will always become available. Video marketing continues to grow as the number of people using the video hosting sites such as Youtube and Ifilm continue to increase. Podcasting is also relatively new on the market and more people are becoming users of the technology every day. Marketers that adapt and ride the new trends usually have leverage over the late adopters! So keep your eyes open.

10. Be a Life-Long Learner.

I have noticed that top earners are the ones that spend the most on self improvement and education. It makes sense since they want to keep what they have already established and improve their business. It is not uncommon to hear marketers spend tens of thousands annually just for educating themselves. Reading books, attending seminars and taking courses are all great ways to gain more knowledge.

Almost all affiliate marketers are searching for successful ways to sell, that would send them the greatest commissions. It is easy as an Affiliate Marketer to believe that there is a secret formula out there for you to discover and profit from. But things are not quite that simple. Those who are successful in affiliate marketing are using tried and tested marketing techniques that have been proven to produce results. These are the tips I am going to give you in this article. Armed with these three tips you will be able to compete as an affiliate marketer and reach your income goals with no struggle. So here goes.

Tip #1 It is essential to have a separate website dedicated to each product you are selling. Don't be cheap and lump all the ten products you are promoting as an affiliate on one website. If you do that your site visitors will know you for what you are- a salesman trying to sell them something. But you want the world to see you as you are or ought to be. If you make your website a Review site that has objectively reviewed at least one or two other similar products, you will be seen as a trusted information giver and not a sleazy salesman!

Your website does not have to be just one page. To further promote the product, you can write articles touting the benefits of the product and place them on your website. Don't make these just like a sales page. Give useful information. Add photos if available; everybody loves photos. Videos are even better! If you have testimonials add them, by all means. Here is when it pays to have used the product yourself. You can write these pages from your heart and your visitors will feel your sincerity and trust you. And trust can lead to sales.

Tip #2 Offer something FREE to your readers. Everybody loves free stuff! But don't give them junk because it is free. Give something of value- like a FREE REPORT or subscription to your FREE NEWSLETTER. You must have a "squeeze page" or a sign-up box where you can capture your prospects' details- name, email address and phone number, that is sent to your autoresponder. Those who entered their details and did not buy your product will receive your autoresponder emails for at least 7-9 times over a period you choose. Eventually some who did not buy the first time will buy. Research has proved that most people will not buy at the first contact and may need up to seven contacts to make a decision to buy.Your follow up autoresponder emails must be carefully crafted to grab the attention of your readers. Remember that they may have dozens of emails in their inbox competing with yours for attention. Also be aware that some SPAM filters in some email programs will delete your emails if you use the word FREE. Be creative!

Tip #3 Get laser-focused traffic to your website that is targeted to the product you are selling. Many people are just interested in the amount of traffic they get to their website. But your efforts should be concentrated on not just website visitors but on "BUYING" website visitors. There are two ways to do this- the first is writing articles for Ezines in your particular niche. The second strategy is similar- writing articles for article directories such as EzineArticles, Go Articles and many others. With both strategies you can advertise your website in the article resource box and thus drive INTERESTED and TARGETED traffic to your website who are likely to buy your product. Article writing is effective but needs time and consistency. Try to write 2-5 articles per week on a consistent basis and before long you have written enough articles to get up to 1000 focused visitors a day that may generate 5-10 sales a day for your affiliate product and put lots of money in your wallet!

These 3 tips may sound obvious but they can make you a lot of money. They do require time and persistence. But if you use all three tips and enrol in multiple affiliate programs and apply these tips to all of them, you will make good income for yourself. Most importantly you will survive as an affiliate marketer and outlast many affiliates who quit the affiliate marketing business because they had no plan. And not tips!
